Planted a few turnips

I planted a few turnip seeds where the squash had been.  Later, the grasshoppers, aphids, or fungi might get them, but right now I'm imagining how they will be if they're perfect. 
You can see the sweet potato vines at one end of the bed.  I'm very curious if anything is happening below the soil.  They got a late start, so I will harvest them around the time of our first frost, I guess.
There are also a couple of bell peppers that got a late start.  I added a little compost and liquid fertilizer.  We'll see.
