A friend sent me this picture of an indigo bunting with the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop. I believe the bird is in a hawthorn tree. What a lovely scene! (click on the image to enlarge)
Hiking we see shots like this every few days. Most times it is a different bird. But each time it makes my heart jump. I love to see them leave the perch, and sale below us after it's quarry. It always lets me know how God has blessed those dudes with terrific eyesight!
