Hello world!

Welcome to my blog, "Organic Discourse."

Here's what I've been up to lately.
I pulled up a bunch of honeysuckle, trumpet creeper, and sumac.  The sumac root on the shovel handle shows how long the root is.
A dogwood had volunteered in the area where the honeysuckle was.  This was the first year it bloomed.

Any new blooms where you are?

  1. Hello, and welcome to the blogger world, I know you have been lurking, good to see you in the open. Yes, I just cut my sherry a Bloom that I think is beautiful, I have no idea what it is other than the neighbor told me it was a week. It is blue and very pretty looks sorta like a half size Glad.
    Good to see you!

    1. Thanks for the welcome, Jack.
Cornflowers (bachelor's button) are blue and are wildflowers that bloom this time of the year, but I wouldn't describe them as looking like a glad. Now you have my curiosity up.

  2. I love dogwoods, beautiful tree and flower!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Woody.
The small dogwoods in our yard were probably one of our first climbing trees as kids.
